How can low estrogen levels affect women?

Estrogen is a hormone that is made in women. This hormone is present in the body in very small amounts. But this hormone has a huge role to play in maintaining the health of women. Too much or too little of this hormone can be harmful to health.

Symptoms of Low Estrogen Levels

The level of estrogen hormone is low in girls/women going through puberty and menopause. However, this condition can also be seen at any age. Some of the common symptoms of having low estrogen are-

Severe pain while having sex due to lack of vaginal lubrication. Increased risk of urinary tract infections due to dilated urethra. irregular periods Seeing a lot of change in mood. Too early break or fracture of bones. This is because bone density decreases due to a lack of estrogen. If low estrogen is not corrected in time, it can also lead to infertility in women Due to low estrogen level Doing a lot of exercises Eating disorder Less work of pituitary gland. Premature ovarian failure.  Autoimmune conditions or genetics may be behind this. Turner syndrome. Chronic kidney disease.

Treating Low Estrogen Levels

Hormone replacement therapy

This therapy is used to increase the body's natural hormone levels. If it is time for menopause, then your doctor may ask you to take this therapy. Estrogen and progesterone levels drop slightly during menopause. Taking therapy can increase this level. The dosage of this therapy is decided according to the deficiency of hormones. If this therapy is taken for both hormones estrogen and progesterone, then the risk of breast cancer, heart diseases, and stroke, etc.

Estrogen therapy

Women who are between the ages of 25 and 50 and are experiencing estrogen deficiency can use this therapy. This can significantly reduce the risk of bone loss, heart diseases, and other hormonal imbalances. However, it should not be taken in high doses. This therapy should only be used for a short time. It can be taken by oral, topical, vaginal, injection.

Keep these things in mind during low estrogen level

Weight can also increase due to reduced estrogen levels, so it is very important to balance them.
Along with medical treatment, keep your lifestyle as healthy as possible.
Along with doing some exercise daily, eat a balanced diet.
The most important thing is to keep your mood happy and keep away from stress and depression.
