How to cure tonsillitis

Tonsillitis is a common infection in children, which affects the tonsils present in their throats. Tonsils found in our body act as a filter, which prevents bacteria or germs from entering inside the body. If these viruses go inside the body and cause problems like infection and inflammation. Tonsillitis is prone to recurrent in children due to many reasons. 

Due to this, there is severe pain in the throat, swelling, and difficulty in speaking. Also, it can cause trouble in eating. Take children to the doctor without delay on the problem of tonsillitis and it is necessary to get the right treatment because many times the parents do not complete the course of medicine when the children get some rest, which can cause problems for them later.

Types of Tonsillitis

There are generally three types of tonsillitis and they can affect you at different levels.

Acute Tonsillitis

This type of tonsillitis can last from 3-4 days to 2 weeks.

Recurrent Tonsillitis

Recurrent tonsillitis occurs in children when they have tonsillitis problems several times a year.

Chronic Tonsillitis

Chronic tonsillitis occurs in children when they have had an infection of the tonsils for a very long time.

Symptoms of Tonsillitis

The main symptoms of tonsillitis are swollen and swollen tonsils, sometimes so severe that it becomes difficult to breathe through your mouth.

Sore throat and red tonsils Fever, Headache, and Earache Loss of Appetite A white or yellow coating on the tonsils Painful sore throat and trouble swallowing Swelling in the neck or jaw Difficulty speaking Stiff neck

How to cure tonsillitis

If the child has a swollen throat and the tonsils appear red or yellow, you should contact a doctor immediately. You can get these tests done if there are signs of infection such as fever, pain in the ears or nose.

Throat Swab Test Blood Test Apart from this, the doctor can also check for symptoms associated with the infection.

Home Remedies for Tonsillitis

Ask the child to rest more instead of playing. Sometimes this problem can increase due to not getting enough rest. To reduce throat pain, eat warm liquids and if possible try to compress the throat. Give soft food to children so that the throat gets relief and the food does not get stuck in the throat. Ask the child to do saltwater gargles so that the swelling of the throat can be reduced. Apart from this, forbid the child from consuming cold things. This can aggravate tonsillitis.
