How to make Ayurvedic toothpaste for children?

Although many kinds of toothpaste that claim to have healthy and strong teeth are available in the market today, most of them use chemicals. If your child's teeth have become weak and yellow and you are tired of using toothpaste available on the market, then you can prepare it at home by adopting the Ayurvedic method.

Gleaming teeth add to the beauty of every human being. The elders of the house say that if the teeth are healthy, then the stomach also remains healthy, because teeth help in chewing food properly. Chewing food properly helps in keeping the stomach healthy and maintain proper digestion. But these days the teeth of more children are starting to become weak. The main reason for this is the consumption of junk food and not taking proper care of teeth.


Ingredients for making Toothpaste at Home

  • Clove oil - 2 tsp
  • Eucalyptus oil - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 4 tsp
  • Mustard oil - 1 tsp
  • Rock salt - 3 tsp

How to make Toothpaste at home

  • Mix clove oil, eucalyptus oil, turmeric powder, mustard oil, and rock salt in a bowl and mix.
  • You will have a smooth paste ready. If you feel that the paste is too thick, then you can add 1 to 2 teaspoons more mustard oil to it.
  • Store this paste in a glass container.
  • Make this at home, and use this paste twice a day.

Why Homemade Toothpaste is Beneficial?

Rock salt has been used in homemade toothpaste. Rock salt has anti-bacterial properties that protect the teeth from bacterial infections. People who complain of yellowing teeth are advised to brush their teeth by mixing rock salt and mustard oil.

The mustard oil present in homemade toothpaste has anti-oxidant properties. It helps in keeping the teeth healthy for a long time. If you are allergic to mustard oil, you can use sesame oil instead.

Elders of the house often recommend using clove oil when there is a toothache. Eugenol, a natural anesthetic found in clove oil, works to reduce bacteria and inflammation in the mouth.

Eucalyptus oil ie Eucalyptus oil has anti-microbial properties, which work to reduce tooth decay. People who have any kind of infection in the mouth or teeth are also advised to use eucalyptus oil.
