Hypothyroidism caused in children

Lack of iodine in a child's diet can lead to hypothyroidism. Symptoms of hypothyroidism can be seen even if the child has taken too much medicine for some reason. If the mother has thyroid during pregnancy and if not treated, then the child may also have thyroid problems. If the thyroid gland is defective since birth, then the child may have the problem of hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can also be caused by surgery to remove the thyroid. Family history can also cause hypothyroidism in children. Many times there is a problem of hypothyroidism in newborns, so they bring the disease with birth. Hypothyroidism can occur due to the improper functioning of the pituitary gland. Hypothyroidism should be treated which remains under control, you can adopt these measures to save the child from hypothyroidism- Give an adequate amount of iodine to the child, its deficiency also leads to hypothyroidism. Add the amount of protein to the child's diet, it keeps thyroid hormone control. Keep the child away from sugar and caffeine. To protect the child from the problem of hypothyroidism, keep getting blood tests done from time to time on medical advice. If your child shows symptoms of hypothyroidism, see a doctor as soon as possible.
