A man who coughed on a cop and took steps to taint him with coronavirus was on Wednesday condemned to a half year in prison in Britain, a police proclamation said.
Adam Lewis, 55, was condemned under a particular law administering ambushes against crisis laborers, which was presented in November 2018 and conveys the greatest prison term of a year.
He was halted after purportedly attempting the entryway handles of vehicles in focal London on Tuesday evening, by a police officer who at that point attempted to stop and search him.
Lewis crushed a container of wine he was hanging on the floor and afterward verbally undermined the official, as indicated by an announcement from London's Metropolitan Police.
"I am covid (19 positive) and I am going to hack in your face and you will get it," he supposedly stated, before hacking on the cop.
Lewis at that point attempted to spit in the official's face and taken steps to chomp him, the Met said.
He was captured and showed up at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Boss Superintendent Helen Harper stated: "While these kinds of attacks are fortunately an uncommon event, this occurrence was appalling and on the off chance that we do experience this sort of inadmissible conduct we will be hearty in our reaction.
"I trust the sentence today passes on a solid message that it won't go on without serious consequences.
