In a new slew of cybercrime, the Maharashtra Police observed that there is an increasing trend of sending extortion e-mails to those visiting porn sites by imposters. The imposters are sending emails to those watching porn contents on such websites to make payments in bitcoins else their video of watching porn sites are made public.

Maharashtra Cyber-cell SP, Balsing Rajput reveals that these imposters are plugging some malware on porn websites. As someone visits such a site, the imposters manage to breach the data of that person. The imposters are able to control the user’s desktop remotely, using which they access the visitor's display screen and get the contact numbers of his friends, his contacts on social media and emails."
