▴ Kerala reports 5,215 new COVID cases and 5,376 recoveries
Today, Kerala reported 5,215 new COVID cases and 5,376 recoveries. In all, 58,283 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and the test positivity rate reduced to 8.95 percent.

The Kerala Government prohibited all public gatherings as part of New Year celebrations in view of the ongoing COVID pandemic.

The State Government also set a 10 p.m. deadline for New Year's Eve celebrations in the State. People were directed to follow all COVID-19 protocols like mask-wearing, hand hygiene, and social distancing. 
 

Today, Kerala reported 5,215 new COVID cases and 5,376 recoveries. In all, 58,283 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, and the test positivity rate reduced to 8.95 percent. The total number of active cases in the State is 65,202. 


Meanwhile, 30 recent deaths were also confirmed due to COVID today, taking the death toll in the State to 3,072. At present, a total of 6,92,480 people have recovered in the State.
