In Tripura, 275 fresh cases of Coronavirus infections were recorded in the past 24 hours. Also, 492 patients were discharged after recovery yesterday. The State COVID-19 Bulletin further reports that the total number of infected people now stands at 27,308. So far 22,600 persons have been recovered from the infections while 4,384 patients are undergoing treatment. The state recovery rate of COVID-19 has further improved to 82.83 per cent whereas the fatality rate stands at 1.09 per cent.
In Meghalaya, 270 new COVID19 cases were reported yesterday taking the total active cases to 2,371 in the state. 115 new recoveries were also reported bringing the total number of recovered people to 4,606. Director of Health Services, Dr Aman War said that out of the new cases, 195 are from East Khasi Hills district, 26 from West Garo Hills, 19 from Ri-Bhoi, 10 from West Jaintia Hills, seven from South West Garo Hills, six from East Jaintia Hills, three from North Garo Hills, two from East Garo Hills and one each from South West Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills district. Another COVID 19 related death was registered from Ri-Bhoi district today taking the total fatalities to 60. So far Meghalaya has detected a total of 7,037 COVID 19 cases. Out of them, 2,371 cases are active, 4,606 have recovered and 60 died.
In Mizoram, eight new cases of Coronavirus infections were detected, while 30 persons were discharged after recovery during the last 48 hours. With this, the total number of active cases in the state rose to 2,128. The official statement reports that 1,837 patients have so far been recovered. Presently, 291 infected persons are undergoing treatment. The recovery rate in the state presently stands at 86.65 per cent. So far, there is no report of a single case of death of COVID-19 in the state.
