UP govt to launch a special campaign today for a door to door medical screening in all districts of Meerut Division

Uttar Pradesh Government will launch a special campaign today for the door to door medical screening in all districts of Meerut division which are having large numbers of Corona positive patients.

This kind of campaign will soon be launched in other parts of the state also. The State Government is also going to establish a big testing lab in Ghaziabad district for augmentation of COVID testing.

Uttar Pradesh government has emphasized the need to strengthen Corona testing facilities and create mass awareness about measures to contain Covid-19. Testing for Corona in the state has crossed 20 thousand samples per day. More than 6,63000 Corona tests have been conducted in the state so far. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressing satisfaction on crossing the testing facility 20 thousand tests per day, has instructed to make it 25 thousand tests every day.

He has asked to establish COVID Help Desks in industrial units, district Hospitals, CHCs including other places and make people more aware of Corona. Additional Chief Secretary Home Awanish Awasthi informed that a COVID campaign will be carried out in state from 5th July where medical teams will visit revenue villages and urban areas and survey the health status of people. He told a Unique initiative is being taken in the state, to inspire people on COVID through crowdsourcing idea.

People have been asked to upload their videos on Covid-19, out of which 100 good videos will be selected, and will be given an award of Rs 10,000 each. Similarly, people have been asked to send 150 words write-up on safety from Covid-19 and 10 good ideas will also be given a prize of Rs 10 thousand each.

He said on the instruction of Chief Minister a special program on the door to door medical screening and awareness will be conducted in Meerut division from 1st to 7th July. Meanwhile, the recovery rate from Covid-19 in the state has reached 65.95 percent. As of now, 14,215 corona patients have got recovered and there are 6,684 Corona active cases in the state. 

Recently to tackle the unemployment problem among the migrant labors PM launched Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Yojana. The Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Yojana is focused on generating employment for those migrant workers of the state who recently returned from other states. Under the campaign around one crore 25 lakh people were provided employment in the state in different schemes.

On this occasion, Prime Minister heaped praise on the UP government and particularly the leadership of Yogi Adityanath for handling the migrant worker's issues perfectly. The PM said that the Yogi Government has done a wonderful job and worked on war footing using all resources to contain the spread of Corona. Even Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath decided not to attend the last rites of his father and decided to work for the people of the state.

Mr. Modi said that Uttar Pradesh has shown exemplary success in controlling the spread of Corona and this success becomes more important when it is compared with 4 major countries of Europe whose total population is close to UP's population and while those countries have more than one lakh deaths, but the number is only 600 in UP. The UP government has therefore saved more than 80,000 lives if it is compared with the casualties in 4 countries of Europe.
