After Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Ropar and Tarn Taran, three mores districts in Punjab viz., Patiala, Gurudaspur and Ferozepur are set to get early intervention centers (one in each city) for kids. The centers will aim at providing early detection as well as treatment to kids with birth defects, diseases, deficiencies and development delays, including disabilities.

Each center will have a MBBS medical officer, dental medical officer, early interventionist-cum-special educator, physiotherapist, optometrist, social worker, psychologist, lab technician, staff nurse and dental technician.
