Two health fads to avoid for better fitness

Do not follow the heard when it comes to these two health trends.

For health freaks out there, it is as much imperative to know the don’ts along with dos when it comes to wellness and fitness of mind, body and soul. While following what everyone around is doing may help you achieve desire results, you would yourself more good if you stay clear of these two trends.

Waist trainers is a new idea in fitness that’s being discussed and followed by fitness aficionados. This trend is taking the fitness arena by storm for its value and worth. In this the midsection of the body is tightly laced up with a corset to reduce the size of the waist. But this has negative effects on your body. This fitness regime, if done rigorously, has the potential to damage internal organs permanently thus making breathing a problem, and induce constipation. Again, loss of oxygen to your lungs will hit your strength to workout.

Taking up challenges is another fitness fad you should steer clear of. Doing squats, push-ups or planks on an everyday basis continuously for a month or more can do more harm then good to your body. Remember, your body requires time to rest and recover in order to enable it to make the most gains. So avoid challenging your body on every day basis and take it easy.
