The State government on Monday announced, 40 Shramik Special trains daily from Telangana State for the following several weeks beginning on Tuesday for transporting migrant workers .
These special trains will be leaving from Hyderabad , Warangal, Khammam, Ramagundam, Damaracherla and other railroad stations to Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and different States.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at a gathering in Pragathi Bhavan audited the overall state of the pandemic and guided the authorities to make fundamental courses correction as migrant workers go back to their home States. He addressed South Central Railway senior supervisor Gajanan Malya and requested that the Railways make fundamental changes for safe passage.
The Chief Minister coordinated with nodal officials Panchayat Raj Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania and Additional DGP Jitender for transportation migrant workers from all over the State.
The Chief Minister said migrant wokers had just enrolled their names in various police headquarters communicating their wish to go back. He asked the workers not to be restless and assured State government was making all arrangements for their travel.
The police authorities along with the neighborhood workers to educate the laborers about the safeguards of the travelling process. The laborers will be brought to separate police headquarters and will be shipped to the railroad stations seperately with social distancing and other norms in place.Health Minister Etala Rajender, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP M Mahender Reddy and other senior authorities present agreed to support the CM for sending the workers back to their home.
