National Startup Awards 2021

The National Startup Awards 2021 was launched with the aim to highlight the efforts and achievements of startups towards making India Self-Reliant & Self-Confident. Read to find out more.

The National Startup Awards 2021 was launched with the aim to highlight the efforts and achievements of startups towards making India Self-Reliant & Self-Confident. 

The ceremony was attended by the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal. 2,177 applications were received in 15 sectors and 49 sub-sectors. Here, 863 startups were female-led whereas 253 came from rural India. 

The startups were awarded based on few parameters like employment generation, wealth generation, innovation, scalability and social impact.

5 startups won in the 'Health & Wellness' category. In the subcategory 'Access to Healthcare' Health Arx Technologies Private Limited won. Their product BeatO stands for beating the ring (O) of Diabetes. They have 1,50,000 users across India.

In the subcategory of 'Diagnostics', Sascan Meditech Private Limited won. Sascan runs OralScan – a multimodal image capturing device that screens real-time oral cancer. 

In the subcategory of 'Medical Devices', Bionic Hope Private Limited won. They have developed Grippy, a lightweight and affordable prosthesis available for people above 15. 

Leucine Rich Bio Private Limited won in the subcategory of 'Life Sciences'. They have developed South Asia's first gut microbiome test named Bugspeaks. 

In the subcategory of 'AYUSH', Atreya Innovations Private Limited were awarded for their Nadi Tarangini report that combines Ayurveda, western medicine along with Artificial Intelligence.
