Duration of delay in periods for PCOS
Dr. Hetal Patolia informs, “PCOS affects the rhythm of ovulation and it gets disturbed. Ovaries do not produce enough eggs regularly. In, PCOS, there is the formation of eggs, but they do not mature and rupture on time. This causes a delay of the menses which may cause periods to occur once or maybe twice a year. The diagnosis of PCOD is done in adolescence age generally. PCOS should be diagnosed as early as possible to avoid complications. You can wait for 14 years of age .”
