We, at Medicircle, observe June month as “Pride Month. Acceptance of The LGBTQ community is important in our society. People should come out and voice out their concerns and they should be accepted as they are rather than bring about changes in them. LBGTQ should be considered to be given equal rights and respect in society.

Every Thursday, we at Medicircle conduct a special series called Bindas Bol with Dr.Kumar Kamble. The orientation of the LGBTQ community

Dr.Kumar Kamble says, “The main aspect of the LGBTQ community is the orientation. There are many aspects of attraction in the LGBTQ community. The attraction to any of the sexes is an individual choice and depends on the sheer nature of the person. We should create awareness about the LGBTQ community in terms of knowing all the aspects of the LGBTQ community.”

Awareness about the LGBTQ community

Dr. Kumar Kamble, “Education and awareness about the LGBTQ community is very important. An initiative should be taken regarding the same. LGBTQ community should be part of our normal lives. There should be open communication about the LGBTQ community. Our outlook should be normalized for the same. Changes will take place slowly and gradually on a large scale. Limited people accept the LGBTQ community.”

Changes to bring about in the society for acceptance of LGBTQ community

Dr. Kamble says, “Many changes are required for acceptance of the LGBTQ community. Taking small steps can help. We should not categorize the LGBTQ community. They are part of society. While talking about them, they should not be labeled. This is the major change that can be brought about in society. Changes can be brought about by educating children about the same. It should be normalized during the school-age itself. It is important to make life simple for people with different orientations. Every person should be given equal opportunities in life with respect. For example, Sports is the field which must be encouraged irrespective of gender.”

Equal respect and opportunities for the LGBTQ community

Dr. Kamble informs, “Changes can be brought about in these aspects.

Education in school  Literature about the LGBTQ community Changes should be brought about in the field of sports and healthcare

LGBTQ community is bullied at school and this may lead to disastrous consequences which may lead to more school dropouts. They should be given equal preference so that they can build their future and get placements in big companies. There should not be any inequality among the LGBTQ community. They should not go through the struggles. There can be many hurdles and obstacles in their lives which need special attention. These are simple basic levels that can be brought about in society.”
