In Tamil Nadu, the Covid-19 curve continues on its downward spiral, with the new cases dipping to 1725. The active caseload has also come down to 15,765.

In Tamil Nadu, the Covid-19 curve continues on its downward spiral, with the new cases dipping to 1725. The active caseload has also come down to 15,765.
 
Meanwhile, the counselling for state undergraduate medical admission is set to start from tomorrow.
 

The rank list for the Tamil Nadu MBBS and BDS admission has been released by the state health minister Dr C.Vijayabhaskar yesterday in Chennai. The counselling is to be held from the 18th, in-person in the city.
 
Government medical colleges have 3650 MBBS and 194 BDS seats, out of which 3032 MBBS and 165 BDS seats will be filled up by the state government.

 
In private colleges, a total of 2100 MBBS and 1760 BDS seats are available. From them, 1147 MBBS seats will fall under the state quota. There are 23,707 applicants for the government seats satisfying all eligibility criteria.
 
A distinct feature in the counselling this year is that 7.5% of the seats will be given to the NEET-qualified government school students
