Twin Expos PETEX and Hyderabad Kids Fair began at Hitex

Tourism Promotion is one of the focus areas of Telangana Govt: Minister Jupalli Krishna Rai. I consider all of you Tourism Ambassadors to promote Telangana Tourism: Tourism Minister. PETEX showcases 50+ varieties of Ornamental Fish among others. One of the rare is Arowana Fish.

Hyderabad, December 22, 2023…Jupalli Krishna Rao inaugurated the twin expo-PETEX and Hyderabad Kids Fair at Hitex on Friday. The twin expo which is of three days duration is organised by Hitex at Mahapur. 

 

The PETEX INDIA 2023 Show is India’s largest Pet Expo for Dogs, Cats, Birds, Fish & Exotic Pets. It is the 6th edition.   Hyderabad Kids Fair is India’s Largest Kids Karnival KIDS FAIR—2023. It is the 16th Edition of the Kids Exhibition 

 

Both expos together 150 exhibitors are exhibiting their products and services. PETEX has 50 exhibitors featuring Pet food, Pet Healthcare, Pet Fashion and Lifestyles, Pet Accessories, Pet Toys, Pet Boarding and a Kids' Fair spread over 1300 square meters, 100-plus exhibitors are showcasing their products and services. 

 

Addressing the gathering immediately after inaugurating it, Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao said Telangana is rich in cultural heritage and has a laudable history. Hitex is the glittering location of Tourism. We must promote Tourism in Telangana. Telangana Tourism promotion is one of the focus areas of this government. Every person living in Telangana must be a brand ambassador for Telangana Tourism and promote it. Telangana is one of the best states in ease of doing business, he said.

 

Minister arrived at the expo along with his wife and grandchildren Veer and Siddhi.  He went around the two shows in the company of his grandchildren and enjoyed it. 

Srikanth TG, Business Head of Hitex said Kids Fair promises to be a vibrant showcase of products and services across four key categories—Education, Lifestyle, Nutrition, and Hobbies. The event is going to be a celebration of childhood and is a must to be visited.  PETEX is not merely an exhibition.  It is a commitment to building a community that cares deeply for the welfare of our furry friends and understands their profound impact on our lives, Srikanth TG said. 

PETEX is the platform for the pet industry, manufacturers, wholesalers, and service providers to present products for pets and innovative pet supplies to Industry experts, and business visitors.  30,000+ visitors are expected to visit it during the three days, he said

The show has a display of 50+ varieties of Ornamental Fish like Silver Arowana, Flower horn, Koi fish, Giant gourami, Alligator gar, Tiger Oscar, Albino Oscar,  Red parrot fish, Pufferfish, Kissing gourami, Cichlids 4 types, Scats fish, Tiger shark, Twin fin barb, Red cap Goldfish, Oranda goldfish,  Pacu fish, Rosy barb, Tiger barb, Succer catfish, Tetras 5 types, Channa fish, Lobsters, SK gold, Molly's 3types, Silver dollars, Black ghost fish and many more.  Among others, Arowana Fish is among the rare.  According to Teju the exhibitor, each of these costs Rs 1.45 lakh.  The Arowana fish is the most expensive fish of all because of its reputation for strength and beauty. For those who believe in Feng Shui, the Arowana fish is regarded as the most fortunate fish and a lucky emblem. Some of the special varieties of fish are Stingray Fish, and StarFish Red.

A therapy Dogs Workshop and demo will be organised on Saturday at 11 am by Bangalore-based Ms Subhadra Cherukuri.  The workshop is aimed at pet parents, psychiatrists and psychology students, dog trainers, schools, people working with special needs / mental health-related institutions that focus on mental health such as depression, PTSD, anxiety, etc., institutions that work with special needs such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities etc.

Subhadra Cherukuri is a certified Canine Behaviourist and Certified Therapy Dog trainer. Having quit a 16-year career as a management consultant with Ernst & Young, Subhadra is the founder of Wag-ville, a premier pet resort in Bangalore, as well as Miracle Equine Center – a horse-based learning centre. Subhadra is also a certified Animal Assisted Therapy practitioner, who works with special needs individuals through dogs and horses and is also an Equine Facilitated Learning Coach certified by the European Association of Horse-Assisted Education (EAHAE)

Yoga with Shelter Puppies and Art with Shelter Puppies will also be organised.

The Aquascaping Workshop will be conducted by Mr. Mayur Dev.   WCF International Cat Championship Show will be held during the PETEX.  It will be organised by the Indian Cat Club. It will be held on the 23rd & 24th with over 100 Cats participating in the show.  Ms. Olga Kuznetsova & Ms. Ekaterina Drozhzhina from Russia will be judges for the show.

A Pet Industry leadership conference is also kicked off on Friday.  It discussed technological advancement in Veterinary medicine.

The entry to twin expos is priced at Rs. 412/- for adults and Rs. 267/- for kids. The ticket is valid for entry into the HITEX HYDERABAD KIDS FAIR too, which is being held at the same time in the venue.

The Hyderabad Kids Fair will promote creativity, positive thinking, healthy growth, physical activity, sports, self-esteem, and confidence in the young minds of our community.  To do so, it centred all its activities around the same. It’s a celebration that goes beyond the tangible, shaping the very essence of childhood joy and curiosity, Srikanth stated

The highlight of this year, Srikanth added, is the innovative initiative "Beyond the Bell Program," a comprehensive initiative offering a diverse range of after-school activities designed to enrich the lives of children. From KidsRun by Hyderabad Runners to a Driving track by Holly Jolly, a Fashion Show by Superstar Kids Fashion, a Badminton Championship by Game Point, a Robotics Workshop by Leap Robotics, and a live performance by School Music Band and a concert by Sruthi Hasini, a 16-year-old musician ensures a well-rounded and entertaining experience for kids. About 6 to 7 school bands use it as a platform and perform at the fair. 

Kids run to have 1200 kids participating on Saturday at 4 pm.  Parents can also run along with kids. 

Some more activities include Celestial 3D Theatre – Dinosaur Movie Extravaganza; Dazzling Workshops: Bling Santa, Canvas painting, Fluid Art, Dot Mandala Workshops; 360-Degree Photo Booth; Mesmerizing Spin Art Painting; Catch the Dropping Stick Game; Giant Jenga Game; Inflatables and Games Tailored for Toddlers; IQ test workshop
