University of Leeds Opens Applications for MSc Biotechnology with Business Enterprise for Indian Students

July 10, 2026: The University of Leeds is now inviting applications for its full-time, 12-month MSc in Biotechnology with Business Enterprise, commencing in September 2026. This forward-thinking programme is designed to connect cutting-edge life sciences research with commercial practice, integrating advanced biotechnology learning with essential business and entrepreneurship skills.

 

Delivered jointly by the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Leeds University Business School, this interdisciplinary master’s programme prepares students to turn scientific innovation into commercially viable biotechnology ventures. Learning takes place through advanced laboratory training and business-focused modules, providing practical scientific expertise alongside entrepreneurial knowledge, including intellectual property management and venture development.

 

The University of Leeds offers a distinctive learning environment where leading bioscience research converges with enterprise education, supported by expert academics, modern laboratory facilities and business school insight. This integrated approach ensures students graduate with skills aligned to industry demands, while also encouraging innovation through opportunities to develop and pursue their own business ideas via the university’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.

 

Entry Requirements: First class or grade equivalent undergraduate degree in a relevant subject from a recognised Indian university.

 

Start Date: September 2026

 

Application Deadline: 31st July 2026

 

Duration: 12 months (full-time)

 

English Language Requirements:  Students will need Standard XII English at 70% or 75% depending on the state board, or IELTS 6.5 overall,  with no less than 6.0 in any component.

 

Tuition: £33,500 (39,42,316.85 INR approx)

 

Scholarship Details: £6,000 International Masters Regional Scholarships for all Indian students
