Usually, the kidneys filter uric acid out of the body, but when its amount starts increasing in the body, the kidney is not able to filter it properly. Due to not being filtered properly, uric acid deposits and enters the blood. The process of increasing uric acid in the blood is medically called hyperuricemia.
