  1. Gargle

If you gargle with hot water mixed with rock salt, it reduces sore throat and also cleans harmful bacteria. This helps in reducing swelling and also provides relief in pain. Do gargles 2-3 times a day after waking up in the morning. 

  1. Drink Herbal Tea

Drinking tea made of herbs like green tea, chamomile tea, basil, liquorice, ginger, clove, mint, cinnamon, etc. helps a lot in reducing inflammation. You mix honey in it and consume it, it will give relief soon. Drink it 2-3 times a day.

  1. Drink the decoction

If you want, you can consume basil, liquorice, ginger, cloves, mint etc. by boiling them in water, making a decoction and consuming them. It is very effective in reducing sore throat and swelling. Drinking honey mixed with honey 2-3 times a day will give great benefits.

  1. Steam

Taking steam also helps in reducing the recurrent throat pain issues. Due to this, the throat is well nourished from inside. If you want, you can also inhale steam by adding mint oil, neem leaves to hot water. This will go a long way in reducing inflammation.

  1. Warm up

Sometimes sore throat and swelling are also due to tonsils. In such cases, warm compression of the neck part from the outside is very beneficial. You can also do this with the help of a hot bag, hot pan and cotton cloth. This will give relief soon.
