5 Home remedies to treat anaemia at home

“Anaemia is a medical condition characterized by a low level of haemoglobin in the body. Haemoglobin is a protein found in RBCs. Deficiency of haemoglobin leads to anaemia”

A low level of hemoglobin in the blood can make anyone weak. This also causes iron deficiency due to which many health-related problems can also occur in the future. An insufficient amount of iron in the body causes Anemia. According to UNICEF, India has the largest population of youth between the ages of 10-19. Of the 1.2 billion youth, 247 million youths of the age group 10-19 are in India. One-fourth of the population of India is of this group. In India, 15% of boys and 56% of girls in the age group of 15-19 are suffering from anemia. The data is quite upsetting, and it is necessary to take the required measures to correct the hemoglobin level. Here are some home remedies

Black sesame seeds – It is rich in iron, copper, zinc, selenium, vitamin B6, and folate. Dry roast 1 spoon of black sesame seeds, make a mixture of this by adding ghee and honey. Now make small balls of this mixture. Consume these laddoos to increase the iron level in your body. It is very helpful in anemia.

Raisins and Dates – This mixture of dry fruits is full of iron, magnesium, copper, vitamin A and vitamin C. You should take 2-3 dates and 1 spoon of raisins as a breakfast snack. This will provide you instant energy and will help in raising the iron level in your body.

Lemon Juice – It increases vitamin C and the absorption of iron in the body. You can have a natural source of vitamin C like orange and lime too. You can have these in the form of juice.

Beetroot and carrot – Beetroot helps in increasing hemoglobin count in the blood. This is very good for anemia. You can eat beetroot as a salad or as a cooked form of it. You can drink in the form of juice too. Blend 1 cup of sliced beetroot and carrot and prepare a smooth juice. Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into it and drink daily.

Spinach – This green leafy vegetable is a natural source of vitamin B12, folic acid, and other vital nutrients. Its favorable effects are very instant if you start consuming it regularly.

Bananas – This is filled with essential nutrients, vitamin C, folate, potassium, and iron. Eating green or ripe bananas can help improve the level of iron in your body. Thus useful in anemia.
