Saffron has innumerous benefits. Apart from this, many other medicinal elements are also found which are helpful in keeping our body completely healthy. Saffron is considered one of the most expensive spices in the world. It is used in milk and milk preparations. It has medicinal properties which keep you away from many dangerous diseases.

Consumable quantity - Saffron should be consumed only 1-3 gm daily. Consuming more than this increases the risk of many serious diseases.

Benefits

Cancer - Saffron has properties like crocin colorectal that stop cancer cells from growing. Consumption of saffron has the greatest effect on prostate and skin cancer.

Arthritis - Saffron can be used to get rid of the problem of arthritis. The crocetin found in it helps in reducing inflammation of the body. Apart from consuming saffron, make a paste of its leaves and apply it in joints.

Insomnia - Due to excessive stress and fatigue, people often face the problem of sleeplessness. In such a situation, drinking saffron milk will be beneficial. According to research, the crocin present in saffron is helpful in getting sleep.

Headache - If you are having a bad headache, then make a mixture by cooking sugar and saffron in ghee, then add 1-2 drops of more ghee, you will get the benefit.

Keep digestive system fit - Saffron has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which help in keeping the digestive system fit.

Improve mood and depressive symptoms - Saffron supplements were significantly more effective than placebos at treating symptoms of mild-to-moderate depression. Both the saffron petals and thread-like stigma appear to be effective against mild-to-moderate depression.

Reduces PMS symptoms - Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a term that describes physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms occurring before the start of a menstrual period. Studies show that saffron may help treat PMS symptoms. In women 20–45 years of age, taking 30 mg of saffron daily was more effective than a placebo at treating PMS symptoms, such as irritability, headaches, cravings, and pain.
