A total of 340 Children Participated in the Painting Competition Organized by Asian Hospital

Children from Delhi NCR Won Prizes Worth Thousands, Showcased Creativity on Canvas.

November 28, 2024: A painting competition was organized at Asian Hospital, Faridabad. The event's chief guest was Haryana's former DGP, Mr. Prashant Aggarwal (IPS). The occasion was graced by Asian Hospital's Chairman and Managing Director Dr. N.K. Pandey, Administration Director Anupam Pandey, Medical Director Dr. Prashant Pandey, International Marketing Director Neha Pandey, Patient Care Director Dr. Smriti Pandey, Pediatric Department Chairman Dr. Arvind Gupta, Director Dr. P.S. Ahuja, Marketing Head Shailesh Jha, Pediatric Neurology Department Head Dr. Vijay Sharma, and Neonatal Specialist Dr. Sumit Chakraborty, who appreciated the children’s artwork.

Around 340 children from Faridabad, Delhi, Greater Noida, Ballabgarh, Palwal, and Ghaziabad participated. The competition was divided into three age-based categories, with the following topics assigned to each:

Category 1 (6-8 years): Topic: Video Games

Category 2 (9-12 years): Topic: Life in the Ocean

Category 3 (13-16 years): Topic: Advertisements Before 2000

Judges:

The panel was for judgement included drawing teachers and artists—Sanjay Punekar (DPS School, Sector 81), Radhika Sharma (K.R. Mangalam School), Rachna Dixit (Kundan Global School), and Vandana Singh (Modern Delhi International School, Sector 89)—who praised the children’s artistic skills.

Winners and Prizes:

Category 1 (6-8 years):

1st Prize: ₹15,000 - Sachit Samanta

2nd Prize: ₹10,000 - Rajdeep Jana

3rd Prize: ₹7,500 - Mahira Akhtar

Category 2 (9-12 years):

1st Prize: ₹15,000 - Aharshi Majumdar

2nd Prize: ₹10,000 - Rajesh Adak

3rd Prize: ₹7,500 - Ujjwal Jana

Category 3 (13-16 years):

1st Prize: ₹15,000 - Drishti Jha

2nd Prize: ₹10,000 - Poushali Majhi

3rd Prize: ₹7,500 - Ipshita Dutta

Additionally, three cash prizes of ₹1,000 and three critics' awards of ₹1,000 were distributed in each age group. All participants received T-shirts, bags, participation certificates, and refreshments.

The chief guest praised the children's talent, expressing joy over their enthusiastic participation. He also honored the winners with prizes. Dr. N.K. Pandey, Chairman and Managing Director of Asian Hospital, shared, "For the past 14 years, Asian has been organizing this painting competition, and we will continue to hold such events to uncover hidden talents among children. We are delighted to see growing participation every year. Our goal is to connect with society through such initiatives and encourage creativity in children."
