IRDAI instructed to all the health insurance companies to offer a standard insurance policy to their clients named Arogya Sanjeevani Policy which will cover basic expenses from hospitalisation to pre and post admission treatment and AYUSH treatment. T

This policy is going to be implemented from April'2020 both by the non life insurers and stand alone health insurers. Both the individual lives and family floaters will be benefitted. From Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakh sum will be insured and minimum age is 18 years to 65 years, 3 months to 25 years for family floaters.

"The objective of the IRDAI is to provide basic health insurance to all the citizens" reported the IRDAI spokesperson.
