▴ Asian Development Bank Promises to Help Education
Deputy CM Of Maharashtra, Mr Ajit Pawar has confirmed that Asian Development Bank will invest in health & education sector of Maharashtra to strengthening these fields.

"Asian Development Bank has so far invested in Maharashtra to build infrastructure network. In the coming days, the education and health sector will be strengthened with the cooperation of Asian Development Bank” said Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar.

He was speaking during the visit of the Delegation of Asian Development Bank in the Ministry.

Mr. Pawar further said that the State Government was emphasizing on building a network of infrastructure in Maharashtra. While doing so, the social sector needs to be strengthened. Therefore, emphasis would be given on building infrastructure in education and health. Cooperation with the Asian Development Bank is essential for strengthening the education and health sector. Investing in Maharashtra by the Asian Development Bank could create good facilities. The Bank should conduct studies and survey in both these field and submit a proposal to the State Government.

He also appealed to the delegation of the Asian Development bank to co-operate the state government for the empowerment of the public health, social justice, and tribal development departments along with the school education department.

Public Health Minister, Rajesh Tope, Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikwad, Additional Chief Secretary of Planning Department Debashish Chakraborty, Additional Chief Secretary of School Education, Vandana Krishna, Principal Secretary of Finance Department (Financial Reform) Rajagopal Devra, Manisha Verma, Principal Secretary of Tribal Development Department, Parag Jain, Social Justice Department, Secretary of Medical Education Department. Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, National Health Mission Commissioner Dr. Anupkumar Yadav and other related officers were prominently present on this occasion.
