COVID19 is caused by the acute respiratory distress syndrome coronavirus has being spread worldwide for more than a year. Although vast knowledge has been gathered about coronavirus, limited options are available for its treatment. We all understand with this coronavirus outbreak that “Prevention is better than cure”. In this context, agents that can act as prophylactics and adjuvants to the therapies are of high value. This includes a good amount of vitamin supplements and nutraceuticals that can help boost your immunity.
Coronavirus affects and lowers the immune system
Weakened immunity can result in being more prone to infections like COVID19. When it comes to pathological findings, it is now clear that coronavirus involves the affection of the immune system with inflammatory effects. Preventing the coronavirus at an early stage can help you a lot. Taking vitamin supplements and nutraceuticals can help your body prevent the attack of coronavirus. Not to forget, the guidelines of social distancing, sanitizing, and wearing a mask are equally important.
An observational study with ImmunoFormulation (IF) treatment in SARS-Co-V-2 positive patients.
A study was carried out to describe the course of the disease SARS-Co-V2 on patients treated with ImmunoFormulation (IF).
There were two groups of patients analyzed which are as follows:
1)A group of patients who received ImmunoFormulation (IF) during the course of SARS-CoV-2
2) )A group of patients who did not receive ImmunoFormulation (IF) during the course of SARS-CoV-2
Screening criteria for an observational study
All the patients attended the private clinic from March to May 2020. The data was collected in September 2020 for analysis. 40 patients were involved in the study who were tested positive in a diagnostic test for SARS-Co-V-2. 20 patients who received treatment with ImmunoFormulation (IF) were compared to another group of 20 patients who received standard care only.
The screening criteria were as follows:
Patients were 18 years of age or older Patients have given written consent to participate in the study The patients suffering from COVID19 symptoms from March to May 2020 Patients who were tested positive for the SARS-Co-V-2 diagnostic test Patients with onset of COVID19 >5 days prior to the diagnosis of SARS-Co-V-2Results: A total of 40 patients participated in the study ( 20 in ImmunoFormulation (IF) cohort study / 20 on control cohort study). The patients were evaluated for efficacy of ImmunoFormulation (IF). The control cohort received standard care only and the ImmunoFormulation (IF)cohort received standard care + ImmunoFormulation (IF).
After comparison, It was observed in the
ImmunoFormulation (IF) cohort observational study showed:
50% mild cases
30 % moderate cases
20% severe cases
In the control cohort, an observational study showed:
36.2% mild cases
26.3% moderate cases
36.5% severe cases
Throughout the observational study, 90% of patients recovered from the ImmunoFormulation (IF) cohort and 47.4% from the control cohort. The percentage of recovery in an observational study is better in the group treated with ImmunoFormulation (IF).
The conclusion from Observational study.
In the treatment of COVID19, it is important to target the SARS-Co-V-2 to eliminate and improve the symptomatology by strengthening the natural defenses. Immune Formulation (IF) helped in abstaining fast recovery and better outcomes. A higher concentration of essential vitamins and minerals inhibited the replication of SARS-Co-V-2 avoiding the virus from entering the cell and multiply. This will help reduce the transmission of viruses from one person to another.
Importance of ImmunoFormulation (IF) and nutraceuticals
The study demonstrates that the consumption of vitamin supplements with a good amount of Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Zinc, Selenium which has good antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties is good for the body to prevent the COVID19 and better recovery. These all vitamins will help contribute to reducing oxidative stress. This study promises the potential role of ImmunoFormulation (IF) as adjuvant therapy in the COVID19 patients.
