Gestational Diabetes

The placenta in women's bodies makes the hormone that makes the cells less sensitive to the effects of insulin. Due to which there is a high blood sugar level during pregnancy. In this case, women who are overweight during pregnancy or who gain a lot of weight during their pregnancy are more likely to develop gestational diabetes.
