▴ Celebration of Life Month! – January 2021!
Celebration of Life Month is the perfect opportunity for us to change our moods, reflect positively on our lives and take a few days to rest, and prepare for the upcoming days ahead.

It’s the beginning of a new year and it definitely feels like we all have crossed level 1 in a video game! Not being insensitive but being more aware of what is happening around us, the people who are still with us, and prayers for the ones who have left us. The disasters that we as humans all over the world as well as the animal kingdom went through have definitely scarred us for life but as they say “Life goes on!”

So with the turn of a page, end of a chapter – The year 2020, and brand new 365 days ahead of us, this makes it the best time to start appreciating the breath that we take, the lives that we lead, the good health that we have, the blessings that come our way and the actual people who matter to us every day. Certainly, part of that recognition is appreciating our body, our time, our healthy relationships, and of course our mind.

Celebration of Life Month is the perfect opportunity for us to change our moods, reflect positively on our lives and take a few days to rest, and prepare for the upcoming days ahead.

The history of Celebration of Life Day, which lands on January 22, is such that it was originally instituted to celebrate the children in our lives, which comes to signify that all is good about being alive since we forget sometimes that we all are fortunate to be here.

Since we have just one life, take time to celebrate, as the good far outweighs the bad in this life. Every life is precious, individual, and a huge gift, so take a little extra time today to celebrate it and it all starts with gratitude and appreciation for where you are right now, surrounded by your loved ones and with hopes that your dreams take you somewhere better.

How to Celebrate Celebration of Life Month?

Reflect on the past year, show gratitude for what you have.

Take a few mental health days to just sit back and relax, and reassess the past year and what you’re going to be doing moving forward with this year.

Make a list of fun things you didn’t get to do last year or activities that you want to be sure to do again this year.

Family and friends are an important part of knowing that you are alive and of course celebrating life, so be sure to take the time to get together with them during Celebration of Life month; it can be a simple meal, or a weekend away to get back together with those you love and who supported you throughout the year.

Every human life is precious and hence, many view the Celebration of Life Day/ Month as a day to spend extra time with their kids, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, or even just kids.

It’s a day to remind ourselves that we are lucky to be here and lead the fortunate lives we do.

Despite our individual and group challenges, there is always good to be found and gratitude to be shown and what better day to find the positivity than Celebration of Life Day!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2021!
