The battle against tuberculosis (TB) receives a significant boost as the Institute of Heart and Lung Diseases Research Centre (IHLD) collaborates with Krafton India to detect active TB cases in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This partnership aligns with the objectives of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, aiming to eliminate TB five years ahead of the Sustainable Development Goals target of 2030.

Dr. Rahul Chandola, the founder-chairman of IHLD, expressed the institute's commitment to contributing to the national TB elimination programme through this partnership. "IHLD aims to screen approximately one lakh individuals over the next 12 months," Chandola stated. The initiative aims to increase TB detection by 10-15% in target districts, significantly enhancing disease surveillance and management efforts.

"Beyond the immediate objectives of our initiative lies a broader vision of fostering healthier communities and contributing to the larger goal of TB elimination in India," Chandola explained. By leveraging the combined resources, expertise, and commitment of Krafton India and IHLD, the initiative aims to serve as a catalyst for sustainable change in the healthcare landscape of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

In Conclusion, the partnership between IHLD and Krafton India marks a significant step forward in the fight against TB in India. By leveraging innovative technologies and collaborative efforts, the initiative aims to strengthen TB detection and surveillance, ultimately contributing to the national goal of TB elimination.
