Ministry of Health has said that India continues to have one of the lowest cases of COVID-19 per million population globally.
In a tweet, the Ministry said that some States and Union Territories are performing better and reporting even lower cases per million population than the national average.
It said, this is the result of a sustained slump in addition of new cases and less than 50 thousand cases added per day in the last 8 days and consistently increasing the number of recoveries which is more than 82 lakh following the Centre led targetted public health response measures against COVID-19.
