▴ Six positive cases of COVID-19
Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC), a Mumbai suburban area with over eight lakh populations has reported six coronavirus cases with the local administration intensifying quarantine process and sealing affected societies

Chandrakant Dange, commissioner at Mira Bhayender Municipal Corporation said, “ We have sealed those particular societies wherever we identified positive cases. No particular movement is allowed in those particular societies. We are arranging daily essentials for those particular societies.”
756 residents of which 287 people have completed 14-day quarantine period were identified by the local body. On Wednesday a case was detected at a housing society by the MBMC. They shifted the family members out of the society and sealed the entire society. Basic amenities are being provided in such societies.
Earlier this week, two housing societies were sealed and all the neighboring societies within one kilometer radius were sanitized. They took special care in sanitizing the entire building.
“Even if we find cases, we are hospitalizing people immediately," said Dange. Fortunately none of the family members were tested positive after MBMC sent their swabs for testing. 59 swabs were sent for testing out of which half a dozen were confirmed positive.
"While we are ensuring every hygiene, we are asking people not to panic too," Khade said. Housing societies are asked to deploy two/three dedicated persons who would keep an eye on people going out and in.
