All the students came in contact with the Coronavirus infected Tablighi jamaat attendees

Eight students from a madrassa who came in contact with the Coronavirus infected Tablighi jamaat attendees have also tested positive in Kanpur.

The Tablighi Jamaat attendees who were found living at a mosque in the district before being tested positive for Coronavirus met these madrassa students in the Macharia area, reveals the district administration.

According to the principal of GSVM medical college in Kanpur Dr. Arti Lal Chandani, 43 samples were tested out of which result of 8 has come positive. They are the madrassa students, aged between 12 and 22 years, who came in contact with the people linked to the Markaz event. Most of them are residents of Bihar.

Now the report suggests that 0ut of the 20 COVID-19 patients in Kanpur, 10 are linked to the Markaz event in Delhi.

Kanpur reported its first Coronavirus related death on Monday afternoon. The deceased was tested positive and had breathlessness, cough, and fever.
