Four exercises that you can do using a sofa at your home.

Hate going to the gym? Don’t have time to go to the gym? Are worried about fitness and wellness? Searching for an alternative to gym to keep fit? Well, the answer is right in your home. And probably, at the moment, you are lying down on its reading this.

Sofa. A sofa at your home can double as your gym equipment. You can use it to stay in shape without incurring any extra cost. It’s a ‘home-made remedy’ you can use any time of the day. Following are four exercises that you can do using sofa as a support.

First, leg raise : A great workout that targets your stomach area. Sit on the soda with your legs in front of you and heels on the floor. Place your hands at the bag, and raise one leg at a time. Repeat this for at least 15 times.

Second, workout with a cushion : Tuck your tummy in while sitting on the sofa. Hold a cushion in one hand, and move arms to the side to 90 degree angles, so that they are at the same level as your shoulders. Let your hands meet in front of your body as you pass the cushion. Repeat this at least 20 times. This exercise will tone your abs and will also strengthen your shoulder muscles.

Third, push ups : Use the edge of the sofa for support and do push ups to work your core and back.

Fourth, knee workout : It works on your core and back muscles. Sit straight on the edge of your sofa. And keep switching between a standing and sitting posture. Do this more than 15 times.
