Chinese researchers have identified coronavirus in the semen of tainted men however further research will be expected to decide if the infection can be explicitly transmitted.
The discoveries from an investigation of coronavirus patients at a Chinese clinic were distributed on Thursday in the JAMA Network Open clinical diary.
COVID-19 is spread through respiratory beads or contact and the infection has likewise been identified in defecation, salivation, and pee.
Scientists at the Shangqiu Municipal Hospital in China's Henan Province directed an investigation to decide if the infection was available in semen.
They tried the semen of 38 coronavirus patients matured 15 to their 50s.
Hereditary material from the coronavirus was found in the semen of six patients - four of whom were at the "intense phase of contamination" and two of whom were "recouping."
The scientists noticed that the investigation was "constrained by the little example size" and further research would be required to decide if the infection can be explicitly transmitted.
"If it could be demonstrated that SARS-CoV-2 can be transmitted explicitly in future investigations, the sexual transmission may be a basic piece of the avoidance of transmission," the examination said.
"Forbearance or condom use may be considered as preventive methods for these patients," it said.
