Parakram Diwas - Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti

Celebrating the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's 126th birthday. Let's know more about Netaji and how our youths can take inspiration from him.

On January 23, we celebrate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti, also known as Parakram Divas, to honour his birthday. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is one of the greatest freedom fighters of India. Born in well-off family, a brilliant student ranked fourth in Indian Civil Services examination, left his high paying job to join the India's struggle of independence. With Socialist beliefs and thoughts, Netaji inspired millions of youths to join the struggle of independence. Later, he established the Azad Hind Fauj, a military unit intended to fight the British.

As we all know, Netaji fought for freedom of our country. Today, the freedom is more about having an opinionated thoughts related to everything. However, health is a matter of concern today, as we are leading a sedentary lifestyle. Today's generation is more career-driven, and they are ready to neglect the health impacts. This kind of lifestyle and the pressure of being successful and rich affect the person's health negatively. It is affecting both the physical and mental health of youngsters.

The number of heart attacks among young adults has visibly increased. In the last 10 years, from 2012 to 2021, there has been a 54 percent increase in heart attack deaths, according to the NCRB. A total of 19,744 people, aged 30 to 60, died due to heart attacks in 2021.

There are a large number of young adults suffering from mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc. 1 out of 3 young people suffers from depression, and statistics also reveal that 18% of people who face depression commit suicide.

In the same way, there are many health conditions our people are suffering from. People need to be more careful about their health. Being informed and conscious will help them take a positive step towards being self-reliant and leading healthier lives. We have easy access to the internet and technology, reading health articles and watching health-related videos will surely help.

Netaji has made a great impression on youths, so let's give him a tribute by fighting against the diseases and focus more on health.
