India’s largest chronic disease management venture Phablecare has acquired a type 1 diabetes combating startup Fused Training. The acquisition was made with an undisclosed sum and it helps Phablecare strengthen its type 1 diabetes vertical.
Fused Training was started by a type 1 diabetic and founder Sahil Madan. Fused Training offers its users personalised training depending on their condition and lifestyle. It is India’s first fitness platform for Type 1 Diabetes people. This acquisition helps Fused Training improve its presence and automate many of its services.
Phablecare was formed in 2018 by Mukesh Bansal and Sumit Sinha. Phablecare is a chronic disease management platform that bridges the gap between doctors and patients. They have created an ecosystem where all healthcare stakeholders like the patients, doctors, hospitals, insurance and service providers meet. This helps patients take better care of their chronic diseases.
Their AI-led platform offers disease-specific care covers for diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, chronic kidney diseases, anxiety and depression amongst many others. In 2019, the startup participated in the MOX Program of SOSV.
Phablecare has so far raised $15.6 million in 8 rounds of funding. Google for Startups, Inflection Point Ventures, Stride Ventures, SOSV, Manipal Hospitals, Omron Ventures and Omphalos Venture are some of its investors.
