Safe births are the best

In recent times, many people assume that childbirth means only a caesarean delivery. However, normal deliveries or cesarean section safe deliveries are always better and more beneficial, said Dr. Abhinay, CEO of KIMS Group of Hospitals.

Hyderabad, December 9, 2025:  In recent times, many people assume that childbirth means only a caesarean delivery. However, normal deliveries or cesarean section safe deliveries are always better and more beneficial, said Dr. Abhinay, CEO of KIMS Group of Hospitals. He spoke as the chief guest at the grand finale of the ninth season of “Mrs. Mom,” an initiative conducted for the past nine years by Dr. K. Shilpi Reddy Foundation and KIMS Cuddles Hospital to promote awareness about safe childbirth. The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Shilpi Reddy and the Dr. Shilpi Reddy Foundation.

This special program offered expectant mothers an opportunity to understand the challenges and joys of motherhood. A total of 220 couples registered for the ninth season, out of which 57 couples qualified for the grand finale. Dr. Abhinay congratulated all of them. He said that motherhood is a beautiful experience, and every stage of it should be cherished by both parents. He emphasized that fathers play a critical role—not only in caring for their pregnant wives but also in preparing for the arrival of the baby. When husbands offer strong emotional and physical support, the wife is able to enjoy her motherhood journey much more.

Addressing the guests and couples, KIMS Cuddles Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. K. Shilpi Reddy, said, “Along with promoting normal deliveries, this program aims to reintroduce the greatness of the family system. We explained what parents should eat and do to have healthy and happy children and nearly 70–80 essential topics were covered to empower the new parents to be. When we educate so many people at once, they help spread the message across society. Many fear normal deliveries thinking they cannot bear the pain—this is wrong. In the past, nearly all deliveries were normal. Over time, due to various factors, caesareans have increased. But childbirth is a natural process, and it should be allowed to happen naturally. Among participants from previous seasons, 85% had normal deliveries. Since many misconceptions exist, awareness is essential. Even if the participants here pass on the information to their friends and relatives, society will gradually change.” She added that awareness about pregnancy care and future parenting was also provided.

This ninth season featured a new “Mrs. Mom Got Talent” round for all 220 participating couples. Winners were chosen in categories such as Mr. & Mrs. Best Dancer, Chef, Comedian, Mimicry, Singer, Artist and Vlogger. Each couple was allowed to participate in any two categories.

A total of 57 couples walked the ramp, presenting meaningful messages related to pregnancy, childbirth, and child upbringing, designed to inspire future generations.

At the KIMS Cuddles Mrs. Mom Season 9 Grand Finale, Payal and Akshay Rathod from Delhi emerged as the winners. Nagalatha–Ajay secured the first runner-up position, while Nandini–Harsha were declared second runners-up. The winners will receive a free delivery service under the supervision of KIMS Cuddles, Kondapur. Gifts were also presented to the first and second runners-up.

Additionally, under the newly introduced “Mrs. Mom Got Talent,” winners were selected across various categories such as Best Dancer, Chef, Comedian, Mimicry Artist, Singer, Artist, and Vlogger. Each couple could compete in any two segments.

Mrs. Mom Season 9 was conducted across three major cities—Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru—with the support of CryoViva. This ninth season ran for nearly one month from November 9.
