According to a recent report, it has been found that knee replacement surgeries have gone up by 2.5 times in the past 5 years. As per data, more than 2.5 lac people have undergone knee replacement every year. There is a need to give importance to overall knee health. 

Elderly people tend to injure their knees more due to aging and reduced collagen synthesis which can weaken the joints. This may also cause weakness in muscles, joints, and ligaments. Moreover, obesity again is a major issue for elderly people. Many patients seeking to undergo total knee replacement can avoid knee surgery by simply reducing weight and following a proper healthy lifestyle.
