Bengaluru, 22 October 2026: The Anonymous Indian Charitable Trust (TAICT) has been honoured with the Sustainable Organization Award 2026, presented by UBS Forums at the 9th Edition of the Sustainability Awards held at the Leela Palace in Bengaluru.

Myriam Shankar, Managing Trustee of TAICT, received the award. The recognition marks a significant milestone for TAICT and reinforces its commitment to championing initiatives that bring forth responsible and inclusive development.

About Ecogram

EcoGram is a sustainability initiative by The Anonymous Indian Charitable Trust (TAICT), launched in 2016 in Bettahalasur, North Bengaluru. The project focuses on decentralised waste management, water conservation, soil health and community participation to create cleaner and more sustainable communities. Through source segregation, waste processing and restoration of local water bodies, EcoGram has helped strengthen local environmental practices, achieving more than 91% source segregation in 2026. The initiative aims to create a scalable model that can be adopted by other Gram Panchayats.
