There are several factors responsible for discoloration or yellowing of teeth like the use of tobacco, drinks, medicines, certain diseases, and an excessive amount of fluoride in water. Besides all these discolorings of teeth is natural with age as the enamel on teeth gets thin. Tannins caused by coffee, tea can also remove enamel, turning teeth yellow. Here are some natural ways that can help you get sparkle/whiter teeth.

Baking soda – It is a scientifically proven method to remove stains. One can softly polish baking soda on the surface of teeth. It acts as an antibacterial and prevents tooth decay.

Oil pulling – Oil pulling is rinsing the mouth with oil to remove bacteria, dirt, and debris. It is an ancient technique and is being described in Ayurveda. It is not a substitute for brushing. As per the Ayurveda, rinsing the mouth with oil like coconut, sesame oil can help in the whitening of teeth.
