After a good 7 to 8 hours of sleep, your body has essentially starved for that amount of time. What you break your fast with helps dictate the healthiness of the day. This is why many label breakfasts as the most healthy meal of the day. Similarly, you need to break your dehydration with an essential drink. Here are some options you can try.

Coconut water

Nothing is better than to start your day with nature’s sweet drink. Drinking fresh coconut water in the morning can help you gain essential nutrients and vitamins. It is also useful to fight free radicals in your body.

Lemon Water

One well-known option to start your day with is lemon water. Loaded with vitamin C, this drink is believed by many to help in weight loss and give your skin a youthful look. One can also add honey to the mixture.

Green Tea

Green tea is a rich drink filled with antioxidants. It can purify from within and give you immunity benefits. Green tea is also known to help speed up one's metabolism and contribute to weight loss. Green tea can also help prevent acne.

Turmeric Milk

This ancient ayurvedic drink is very beneficial to your health. Turmeric is known to be both antibiotic and antiviral. It can help you have good immunity, good skin and even protection against minor injuries.

Detox Water

A healthier alternative to plain water is detox water. Overnight store water with some cucumber slices, mint leaves, lemon slices and diced ginger. The nutrients and essential minerals from the food will diffuse in the water. Consume this drink first thing in the morning at room temperature. The remaining water can be used throughout the day as well.

Water with Tulsi

Add crushed leaves of tulsi or tulsi drops to warm water along with honey. This drink will build you defence against cold, cough and headaches. It also provides benefits to one’s skin.

Instead of your cup of coffee and tea, switch to these drink options. Many complain of digestive issues after having tea or coffee first thing in the morning. By drinking any of the above 6 drinks, your body will be filled with essential nutrients. So, kick-start your day on the right track.
