Benefits of Vitamin D in the body

The benefits of Vitamin D are many as it manufactures many other nutrients in the body. In recent years, most people are becoming victims of vitamin D deficiency. But one must be aware that excessive amounts of vitamin D can cause more harm than good.

The main source of Vitamin D: Sun 

Sun-made vitamin D maintains the level of calcium and phosphorus in the body. Sunlight is the main source of Vitamin D. The supply of calcium in bones is also done through vitamin D. There are five types of Vitamin D required by the body. Vitamin D-1, Vitamin D-2, Vitamin D-3, Vitamin D-4, Vitamin D-5 are the main types of Vitamin D. All types of vitamin D have different functions in the body.

Functions of Vitamin D 

The absorption of calcium in the body Improving the immune system for immunity Functioning of bones and nervous system properly. Vitamin D is the most important of all the vitamins necessary for the body.  Vitamin D is necessary to maintain the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body.  Vitamin D is helpful in absorbing essential nutrients from the digestive system.  Vitamin D is needed by the body to absorb nutrients from food. Vitamin D also works to protect the body from infection.  Vitamin D is also beneficial in increasing the body's immunity.  Vitamin D is also necessary for the function of the nervous system, muscles and nerves.  Vitamin D also benefits in protecting against diseases like obesity and cancer. Vitamin D is also beneficial in reducing the risk of heart disease or heart disease.  The body must also get essential vitamins to avoid diseases like diabetes.  If there is a deficiency of vitamin D in the body for a long time then the risk of obesity and inflammation increases.

How is Vitamin D produced?

The most important thing is that the main source of vitamin D is sunlight. Vitamin D is produced in the body when sunlight or sunlight falls on the human skin. This is a natural process by which vitamin D is made. Apart from this, there are also some foods that are sources of vitamin D. Dark chocolate and cocoa butter can fulfill the deficiency of vitamin D.

If you look at the diet food, the amount of vitamin D is found in the yellow part of tomato, turnip, mushroom, cheese, and lemon egg. Some recent research suggests that dark chocolate also contains vitamin D. Vitamin D is also found in small amounts in beets and sweet potatoes. Hair loss is also caused due to a deficiency of Vitamin D.

By the way, when vitamin D is made by the body, then its damages are not seen. Vitamin D supplements are taken when there is a deficiency of vitamin D in the body.

Excess Vitamin D damage 

When vitamin D supplements are taken in excess, it causes harmful effects on the body. You can know here what can be the harm if you eat more vitamin D medicine. Major problems are caused by Vitamin D deficiency

When vitamin D supplements are taken in excess, the amount of calcium in the body can increase. When the amount of calcium in the body increases due to vitamin D medicine, appetite is reduced. Excess intake of Vitamin D can cause frequent urination.  Sometimes the excess of vitamin D also causes a heart attack. Giving children excessive amounts of vitamin D can cause symptoms such as muscle stiffness, irritability, difficulty in walking, and difficulty in breathing. Consuming too much vitamin D can also cause body pain in older people. The deficiency of Vitamin D accelerates hair fall but excessive amounts also cause hair breakage. Vitamin D intake in excess can weaken bones.  High blood pressure can also be caused by an overdose of vitamin D. Eating too much vitamin D can cause constipation, diarrhea, and breathing problems.
