At last count there have been at least 433 reported cases of novel coronavirus in India. The Union Health Ministry has said that 24 people have recovered and seven have died. Maharashtra and Delhi, have imposed Section 144 starting today along with other states.

In another developement, Tihar jail would be releasing about 3,000 prisoners due to COVID-19 outbreak in India. Around 1,500 convicts will be released under parole/furlough and under-trial on interm bail. 

The novel coronavirus or COVID-19, pandemic has spread across at least 170 countries. There have been at least 415 reported cases of novel coronavirus in India.
