Even, a Bangalore-based Health-tech startup raises $15 Million in funding from AlphaWave and Aspada

Even Healthcare, a personalised healthcare startup, raised $15 million from new investors, including Alpha Wave and Aspada (Lightrock). In a statement, the health-tech startup said it would use the new capital to expand its clinical team to scale its preventive care for conditions like Diabetes, PCOS, Obesity etc.

Even was founded in 2020 by Mayank Banerjee, Matilde Giglio, and Alessandro Ialongo. Even is a healthcare provider which works with members, across consultations to hospitalisations, with an emphasis on preventive and individualised care. The startup aims to fill the gaps in the insurance sector of India and build patient-centric and trustworthy healthcare delivery models.

"Comorbidities like Diabetes, High Cholesterol, High BP, and Obesity are quite common in India and are often uncontrolled due to reluctance in visiting a doctor and not getting health checks unless there are symptoms," said Giglio, Chief Executive Officer of Even Healthcare.

The company said in a statement that 'the medical team of Even aims to provide preventive healthcare services to ensure they don't reach the point of critical illnesses.

“Even is a revolutionary model that integrates care delivery and financing, ensuring that members make the best health decisions for themselves with the support of high-quality doctors incentivized to deliver patient outcomes,” said Tejasvi Ravi, Healthcare lead at Lightrock India.
