Ashok Chavan tested positive in Nanded,where he had gone on an official visit

According to the latest news,State Public Works Minister Ashok Chavan was admitted to a private hospital in Nanded on Sunday. He was diagnosed with coronavirus, said a health department source . His office in Mumbai confirmed the news at the time of reporting. Chavan had flown from Mumbai to Nanded last week for an official visit. While they were being tested there, he tested positive for  the infection. He was in good health and reported no complications and was put to special care.

Meanwhile in Mumbai, 1,725 ​​people were affected by the coronavirus on Sunday and the number of victims has reached 30,359. The death toll rose to 988 during the day.

So far, the number of suspected patients admitted to the hospital has reached 25,131. A total of 598 people were treated at various hospitals and sent home on Sunday. The number of patients sent home from the hospital has risen to 8,074. The growth rate in Mumbai was 6.61 per cent on an average, municipal officials said.

Due to 24 new corona patients in Vasai-Virar city on Sunday, the number of corona sufferers has increased to 511. The detailed Mumbai updates are as written below 

2 dies in Navi Mumbai

On Sunday, 85 new Corona patients were found in Navi Mumbai and two died during the day. The patients included 32 women and 53 men. The number of corona patients has reached 1,646.On Sunday, the highest number of 19 patients was found in Ghansoli, followed by Koparkharne 18, Turbhe 17, Nerul 9, Airoli 7, Belapur 6, Vashi 5 and Diva 4, patients. On Sunday, 52 c patients were cured in one day.

319 new corona patients in Thane district

In Thane district, 319 new coronary arthritis cases were found in a single day on Sunday. As a result, the number of corona patients in the district has gone up to 5 thousand 701. With the highest number of 127 patients found in Thane on Sunday, the number of patients in the city has now crossed 2,000. The death toll in the district has risen to 172 so far as 9 patients died due to corona in one day.During the day on Sunday, 127 patients were from Thane city, 85 from Navi Mumbai, 46 from Kalyan-Dombivali, 6 from Bhiwandi, 4 from Ambernath, 25 from Ulhasnagar, 5 from Badlapur, 11 from Mira-Bhayander and 10 from rural Thane.
