This can help prevent spine issues, especially spina bifida, a type of neural tube defect.

  • Dal or lentils

  • Chana or chickpeas

  • Green vegetables

Green vegetables are a great source of folate, especially spinach. It is rich in nutrients and other vitamins as well. Beetroot, green turnips, and methi are rich in folate and must be included in the daily diet of every pregnant lady for a healthy baby. It is rich in fiber which helps in relieving gastric issues as well. 

  • Dry fruits
