If you are wondering how the food improves your sleep, then we are going to tell you in this article that if you consume this food at night then you will get good sleep.

You must have often heard your elders in your childhood saying don't eat this at night - don't eat that or else you will have to go to the bathroom again and again and sleep will continue. It is absolutely true that eating at night can disturb your sleep and can also help you get good sleep.

Eat this food at night and get good sleep

Cheese

You can consume cheese, especially mozzarella cheese, to get better sleep at night. It is a source of tryptophan, which plays an important role in the production of serotonin and increasing the sleep hormone melatonin.

Bread

Carbohydrates are known to provide high amounts of tryptophan to the brain, so if you eat cheese toast or bruschetta at night, it may actually be beneficial for your sleep.

Oats

The quality of sleep improves due to the vitamins and minerals found in oatmeal as they promote relaxation. Vitamins and minerals are natural sources of melatonin. Melatonin regulates our sleep cycle.

Milk

Milk is another good source of melatonin and tryptophan. This is because cows give milk at night when their melatonin is naturally high.

Soy products

Soy products are a good source of tryptophan. Tofu is rich in protein and also contains calcium, both of which are known to promote sleep.

Egg

Eggs are high in vitamin D and tryptophan is also found in it. Both have sleep-promoting properties.

Cherry

Cherries contain antioxidants like anthocyanins, which together with melatonin help you to fall asleep for a longer period of time. Like oats, melatonin is also found in high amounts in cherries.

Avocado

Avocado contains magnesium, which works to reduce the level of cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone. When the level of cortisol in the body remains low, then your nervous system remains calm and you get good sleep.
