In Dharavi of the suburban Mumbai, four fresh COVID-19 cases, that include one death due to the disease are reported on Monday, taking the count of cases from 16 pockets of Dharavi—the biggest slums in Asia—to 47, as revealed by a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official. The toll from the area rise to five. The new cases were from Madina Nagar, Janata Cooperative Housing Society and Gulmohar chawl of Dharavi. The sample report of the 60-year-old man from Nehru chawl, who died at Sion Hospital came positive for COVID-19, the official added.
