Friday, Centre relaxes curbs on export of medicine made from Paracetamol in this ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) steers clear that restrictions on exports of ingredients related to Paracetamol active pharmaceutical will continue. Exporters need to obtain permission or no-objection certificate from DGFT to export products from imposed restricted categories. On March 3, Centre had restricted the export of 26 pharma ingredients and medicines, including Paracetamol. They had, however, removed export restriction on 24APIs and formulations but that declaration didn’t include Paracetamol.
