On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked the State's medical authorities to promote plasma therapy for the treatment of Coronavirus infected patients after examining its efficiency.

Adityanath also stressed upon the need for thorough testing in and around the declared hotspots.

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi reveals that the chief minister has appealed to the people, visiting hospitals for emergency treatment, to go to the only to Medical and Health Department approved hospitals.

Adityanath also ordered officials to ensure the availability of oxygen for the Coronavirus infected patients. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has recently allowed States to start the test run of the plasma therapy for COVID-19.
